This summer, Peter Frampton is taking a collection of guitarists on tour in the Peter Frampton Guitar Circus, bringing in special guests for limited engagements throughout the tour. Joining Frampton at the Kauffman Center are musicians B.B. King, Sonny Landreth, and Davy Knowles.
As one of the biggest arena rock stars of the 1970’s, British guitar legend Peter Frampton is one of the most celebrated guitarists in rock history. This singer, songwriter, Grammy Award winner, and member of groups Humble Pie and The Herd, is well known for his classic hits “Show Me the Way,” “Do You Feel Like We Do,” and “Baby I Love Your Way.” Musical legend B.B. King, known as the King of Blues, has developed one of the world’s most readily identified guitar styles, and his techniques have become indispensable components of the rock guitarist’s vocabulary. Sonny Landreth is known as the King of Slydeco. He is an innovative, versatile guitarist, known for his mastery of playing the slide and chords simultaneously. Davy Knowles is an exciting up-and-coming blues singer and guitarist, proving that the legacy of the earlier generation of musicians is bearing fruit today.
